  • There has been an edit to the K-8 calendar. We have had to change the date that report cards will be sent out this term. The date on the original schedule conflicts with the Mission Trip to Belize schedule. I will send those report cards home when I get back. Please check the website and your email for an updated copy. K-8 Portfolio requirements are to be into the teacher’s by March 7th. They need to be in on time in order for Report Cards to be sent out on time.

  • Students in English 10 are brushing up on their grammar and writing skills before diving into the Short Story unit. In English 20, we are learning about the Hero’s Journey and the archetypal story pattern that flows through many narratives, and began with Jesus’ story on earth. Creative Writing students are exploring ways to stir up their creative juices and how to find inspiration in the everyday things around us. In Social Studies 30, we are examining the roles our culture, society, language and environment plays on creating our personal and collective identities.

  • Be sure to have the latest Java update in order for class time to go smoothly. If you go to java.com you can download the latest version.
I like the story of Caleb in the Bible. You can read in Numbers 14 how Caleb had in tremendous faith in God’s plan. He knew the value of God’s promises to them. Caleb did not underestimate God.Even though the Israelites had a long road ahead of them Caleb knew it would be worth it. He held onto the hopes and dreams that God had given them. Following God does not mean that the path will be easy but, He promises that following Him will satisfy us.
Enjoy the journey that God has in store for you!

“But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follow me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.”
