Course Overview
Eat well and play hard! In this course, you’ll explore the role of food and hydration in helping individuals achieve optimal physical performance and learn to plan effectively for nutrition and hydration for a variety of recreational activities and athletic events. You’ll also examine food labeling and explore the role of recreation leaders and coaches in promoting nutrition for improved performance.
Note: Upon completion of this course, you may qualify for equivalency training in Sport Nutrition through the Sport Medicine Council of Alberta. You may also qualify for equivalency for the Nutrition module with the National Coaching Certification Program (Competition-Introduction level).
